Each year, the Atlanta Chapter supports its community by volunteering with a nonprofit organization in lieu of its December meeting.

Guest Speaker Bio

Mark Amann has been professionally responding to crises since he was 20 years old. He has served as an external affairs officer in 25 presidentially-declared disasters with FEMA.

He has spent his career learning that information saves lives and his response experiences have made him passionate about ensuring that organizations are prepared to communicate information in a timely, accurate and coordinated manner.

Throughout his career, Mark has provided strategic counsel and training in leadership, messaging, and crisis and emergency response to elected officials, military leaders, governor’s cabinets and C-suites across the nation and the world.

For Nusura, he provides executive-level leadership and strategy across the firm’s practice areas, leading the design and development of SimulationDeck and supervising the firm’s efforts to enhance the crisis and emergency preparedness of private, public and non-governmental clients.
