President: Donna Arobone, CBCP
Donna Arobone, CBCP, is currently a Senior Business Continuity Analyst at Vanguard. She has served as a continuity professional since 2004 and has worked for Vanguard for 20+ years. In her current role, Donna is responsible for leading division-wide initiatives such as the BIAs, tabletop exercise programs, and metrics and reporting. Donna received her CBCP certification from DRI International in 2010. Previous roles at Vanguard include manual processing, statistical research and analyst, and people leadership. Donna received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Millersville University in 1998. She has been an active member of the Liberty Valley ACP chapter since 2006.
Outside of work, Donna enjoys hiking with her dog, kayaking, and traveling.
Secretary: Donna Jacobs, MBA
Donna Jacobs, MBA, has served for more than 10 years as ISC Technology Service’s IT Sr. Director of Infrastructure Operations at the University of Pennsylvania – Data Center Management, Network Operations, and associated Infrastructure disciplines. She is responsible for leading the ISC Operations’ team and its transition to implement the ITIL methodology into day to day operations, introduction of enterprise automation within the Operations environment, and implementation of a Quality Management System. The organization has attained their ISO 9001:2008 Certification. The ISC Data Centers also hold an ISO 20000 certification. They are the only Ivy League University Data Centers to have achieved these credentials.
In this (and previous) roles, Donna has traditionally been brought in to transform organizations into more efficient, high performance operations.
Donna is also an adjunct faculty member for Wilmington University’s Graduate and Undergraduate Programs in Technology.
Donna holds a B.A. from Neumann University and an MBA from Wilmington University.
Treasurer: Ruth Frazier
Ruth Frazier, CBCP, is currently a Divisional Continuity Coordinator at Vanguard, where she has worked for 19 years. Ruth began her business continuity career in 2013 as a department coordinator and received her CBCP certification from DRI International in 2018. At Vanguard, she has held various roles in Internal Audit, Defined Benefits, and Institutional Risk Management. As a Divisional Coordinator she supports 40 volunteer department coordinators pledging to “make their jobs easier” which she has done by delivering a Sharepoint site that tracks phone tree results and serves as a central repository for continuity information, creating multiple levels of training, leading continuity exercises, generating job aids, check lists, and assorted templates. She is currently co-leading a project designed to increase engagement in business continuity by relating it to personal emergency planning. Ruth has been an active member of ACP since 2015 and received the MVP award in 2018. She has a BS degree in elementary education/special education from West Chester University and a certificate in accounting from Ursinus College. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, children, and granddaughters, as well as her three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Education & Seminars Director: Michael Harding, AFBCI, CBCP
Michael Harding, AFBCI, CBCP, is currently a Project Leader III at Automotive Resources International (ARI), and has previously worked in the financial and insurance industries. Michael is a trusted advisor and practitioner providing global business continuity and disaster recovery planning, project management, incident response, and crisis management. A guest speaker at various conferences in educating others in the craft of business resiliency. Extensive global multi-cultural awareness and training with experience in Asia-Pac, EMEA, and Latin America.
Michael holds the senior level grade of Associate Fellow (AFBCI) by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) in the UK and has held the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI since 2007. He has been an active member of the ACP Liberty Valley Chapter since 2007. Prior to joining ARI, Michael was part of the BCM team at ACE Insurance, now Chubb and has vast experience working with teams around the globe. Michael served in the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Wilmington University.
Information Director: Melody Wen, AEM, ABCP
Melody Wen, ABCP, is currently a Business Resiliency Manager at JPMorgan Chase supporting Asset Wealth Management's Resiliency program in New York City. Previously, she was a Business Continuity and Operations Risk Management Specialist at Chubb and provided global Business Continuity training, exercises, and planning for employees in 54 countries. Prior to Chubb, Melody held business continuity, emergency management, and security management positions with higher ed, healthcare, public and private sector organizations in the New York and DC area. She also serves as the Vice-Chair of DRI International’s Young Leaders in Resilience Committee.
Melody holds a MPA in Emergency Management and is certified as an Associate Emergency Manager and also an Associate Business Continuity Professional.
Membership Director: Diane Palmer, CBCP
Diane Palmer, CBCP, PMP, is currently an IT Project Manager for Exela delivering solutions for clients. She has a 20-year information technology career with broad experience in IT disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis response. She has managed disaster recovery as a Program Manager in the higher education, media, and life sciences industries.
Diane has Economics and Mathematics degrees from West Chester University.
Programs Co-Director: Patricia Knowles
Patricia Knowles has been employed with The Vanguard Group for almost 25 years. She is currently the department Contingency Coordinator for Vanguard’s Recordkeeping Services Group, which is made up of 23 distinctly different departments. Patricia has been in a Contingency role for over 7 years and is very passionate about business resiliency and raising the bar for her group.
Patricia majored in both Accounting and Human Resources Management at Cabrini College in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. She has been an active member of the Liberty Valley ACP Chapter since 2011.
Programs Co-Director: Jeremy Gudgeon, CBCP
Jeremy Gudgeon, CBCP, is a Senior Business Continuity Analyst at Vanguard. He’s served as a continuity professional at Vanguard since 2011, leading planning and response for Retail, Financial Advisor, and International divisions. In his current role, Jeremy leads Vanguard's global mass notification program, and supports Crisis Communication and regional continuity programs around the world. Jeremy achieved his CBCP in 2016 and has been an active ACP member since 2013.
Outside of Vanguard, Jeremy serves on the Executive Board of the Chestnut Hill Community Fund, served 6 years on the Board of Directors at "Angel Flight East", and served 5 years as the Chair/Co-Chair of his alma mater's Alumni Association. Jeremy's previous roles have also included 2 years of people leadership in Operations, and 2 years in Information Security.
Outside of work and volunteering, Jeremy enjoys traveling with his wife, and photography.
Public Relations Director: Lisa Jones, MBCI, CBCP
Lisa Jones has over 12 years of business continuity and disaster recovery planning experience in the healthcare provider and health insurance industry. Her expertise includes governance, plan development, business impact analysis, program management, and crisis management. Currently, she is leading the development of an enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery program for a global life science manufacturing and distributing organization.
Lisa has a special passion for plan awareness, applying innovative techniques to mature programs and raise the visibility of contingency planning. Lisa’s goal is to ensure organizations recognize the value business continuity professionals provide.
