Upcoming Sessions
June 21, 2023 2:30 pm
Topic: CISA Priority Telecommunications Services (GETS, WPS, & TSP) - Learn How You Can Enhance Your Emergency Communications Capability,
Presented by: John J. Jordan, Chapter President and Managing Director of Crisis Management Associates, LLC
Location:Zoom
This month’s NE Florida Chapter of ACP meeting will feature a presentation on Hurricane Preparedness, including a refresher on the Incident Command System (ICS). As we prepare for the 2023 Hurricane Season, it is critical that we refresh ourselves on the key tenets of Hurricane Preparedness, with a focus on both individual preparedness and business preparedness. This includes the need for us to understand the Incident Command System (ICS), which is a key component of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). All levels of government in the United States (Federal, State, County, and City) utilize ICS methodology in their management of response to any Incident, including major disaster events. Since businesses have a critical part to play in NIMS, it is critical that we have a thorough understanding of ICS. So, as we prepare for the upcoming hurricane season, please join us for this presentation on the challenges of preparing for and responding to a hurricane event as both individuals and businesses, and how government agencies will utilize ICS to guide their response to these events.
NOTE: Teleconference dial-in information will be provided in the next few days by email to each chapter member.
